What are you looking for in a church?

Some say they want a church with programs that meet their needs and fit their families. Others might look for a connection with family, friends, or even a pastor. There are some who desire great worship and dynamic messaging. As you watch us on video, or come and share with us in person, we hope that you will find Brookneal Baptist to be the church God wants us to be. A place where…

Fellowshipping together allows us to strengthen and sharpen each other. (Proverbs 27:17)

We rejoice with those who rejoice, and hurt with those who hurt. (Romans 12:15; 1 Corinthians 12:26)

We hold each other accountable, and build each other up. (1 Thessalonians 5:11; Hebrews 10:24-25)

We love each other as God has commanded us to, with mercy, and without judging, or “respecting a person.” (John 13:34; 15:13; 1 Thessalonians 4:9; 1 Peter 1:22-25; 1 John 3:11, 23; 4:7, 11-12; Luke 6:37-38; James 2:2-4)

We pray that we listen to the voice of God and follow His Holy Spirit’s leading in our heart, and that all our lessons and messages that we give, as a church, will be in line with God’s Holy Word, with nothing added and nothing taken away. (Joshua 1:7-8; Deuteronomy 4:2; Proverbs 30:5-6; Revelations 22:18-19) We pray that God’s Word will be studied in every one of our homes, and God’s Truth will touch every one of our hearts, from the youngest to the oldest. (Deuteronomy 6:6-9) We pray that this Truth becomes our reality as we impact each other and the world for the Kingdom of Christ. Our Mission is to walk as “children of light,” in holiness, truth, and love, so that we may win the world to Christ as “fisher’s of men.” (Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 1:17)

We invite you to join our church family and participate in our journey of faith as we all strive to be more like Jesus every day.

Serving together at the foot of the Cross,

Pastor Andrew Reisberg
