Meet Our Director & Head Teacher
My name is Debbie Bowe. I am a widowed mother of 1 daughter , Michelle and son in law Mich and I am the grandmother of 3 adorable children: Andre, Nathaniel, and Malorie. I am both the Children's Director and Preschool Director of Brookneal Baptist Church and Brookneal Baptist Wee PreKindergarten. I attended William Campbell High School, Campbell County Vocational School, and Maranatha Christian Academy. In 1981, I began my teaching career at Maranatha Christian Academy, and attended Liberty Baptist College (Liberty University) working on Elementary Education and Children Ministry. I also attended Hadley Institute for the Blind and obtained two master's degrees in Braille. I have been working with our children here for the past 20 years. My hobbies are spending time with family, my church family, friends, and serving children in my community and telling others of the Love of God. I am a member of Brookneal Oddfellows Lodge # 267 and Fairview Rebekah Lodge # 52 where I enjoy serving to meet the needs of widows, orphans, and those in distress. I am an inspirational speaker and advocate for The Va Dept for the Blind and Visually Handicapped. I also enjoy speaking at Ladies events to tell my journey of Limited Vision.
