Children are very important to God. When Jesus walked on this earth, He taught us that we must receive children in the name of the Lord in order to know God’s presence. (Mark 9:36-37) The presence of the almighty is tied to the child-like faith of every believer, especially the little ones. (Mark 10:14-15) At Brookneal Baptist, we strive to love your children as an extension of you and your home with a desire to teach them of God and His Son Jesus. It is our practice to encourage careful study and growth in the nurture and admonition of the Lord for every child the parents and the Lord have entrusted to us. (Ephesians 6:4) We desire to usher them into the presence of the Savior and do nothing that would hinder them from following Him in their own lives based on their own faith that their parents and this church have faithfully taught them. (Mark 9:42; Colossians 3:21) If you so choose to share your responsibility to “train up your child in the way he should go” (Proverbs 22:6) with us, we pledge to value them the way that you would, and the way that Jesus does. We Proclaim a desire to see “your children walk in truth”. (2 John 4; 3 John 4) We promise that programs, and numbers will never be our focus. Instead, everything we teach will be directly from God’s Word. Each individual child will be valued for who they are and for what God has created and placed within them. (Psalm 139) We would love to participate in helping you Lift your children up to Jesus.
